Using PS2 through PC monitor
Is there any way of doing this so I can play without having to get a TV and splash out on a license? I have a feeling that this may have come up before, but with me not being able to search, I'm sorry!

If your PC has a video input, the easiest way would simply be to link the PS2's composite or S-Video output to that, and then send the PS2's audio output to the input on your soundcard.
Beyond that, you can get adapters that will convert the SCART RGB output into an RGBHV signal that your monitor will understand, but if you only have a single set of inputs on it, there'll be hassle swapping the connections, and in any case the quick phosphors on most CRT computer monitors don't lend themselves to 50Hz PAL displays, while motion smearing can be an issue on many LCD's.

Cheers for the answers. Also having thought more about this how do I actually get the picture from the ps2 on the monitor screen and not show the operating system? I have never used the features of my video card before so don't actually know how it works or what its capable of
