Satman,
We're going to need a little more information first.
- What browser are you using?
- How do you connect to the internet?
- Are you running Norton AntiVirus or similar?
Cheers,
Alex

Send me your address and I can send you the Office X trial CD. I have a whole box of them under my desk. If anyone else wants one drop me a mail tomorrow at allan.bayman@eu.mwhse.com

Shortcut to open Download Manager window in Mac IE is Apple-4. It doesn't always open by itself!
If you can view the web pages, there doesn't seem to be anything wrong with your connection or settings.
To check that you can download things, do this:
Open the Terminal application (look in Applications -> Utilities).
Type the following (or cut and paste from here):
This command will attempt to download the VLC Media Player to your desktop. You should get an indication of progress in the Terminal window immediately after pressing return.
Let us know how you get on.
Cheers,
Alex
