problem registering McAfee
I try to register and get the message that my email address is not valid,so i try again, and it then tells me the address is already in use! so i try to sign in and get another error message, code 91
so i can't get virus updates etc
any McAfee experts here?

Hi Jack
I have the latest Personal Firewall Plus, and VirusScan 8
I am clicking on updates in the Secuirty centre and following the on screen instructions in the registration pop up
I get to the personal details page and key in my email addy, and the screen tells me the email addy is invalid,so i use the back button and try again, and this time it tells me the email addy is in use! This happens with any email addy, and it suggests i log in using it but of course i then get an error message on sign in,saying error id 91
I have checked McAfees faqs and they refer to an "Updater" which i dont have, and the so called live technicians are just computer responses and they just tell me to call a technician, which i have, and that sounded like India, and sure enough,i should have had a call back and got nothing, and i emiled them also and got a response to log in with my email, which is plain daft.I emailed back and told them i have already tried that, and sure enough,no reply
any ideas?

Bloody odd.
Email me at jack_clark@nai.com from the email address you're using for registration and I'll get it sorted for you.
In the mean time if you'd like to experiment go to http://uk.mcafee.com, click the 'log on' link, click 'forgot password' enter the email address you're using and see if anything happens.

When you get it, go to uk.mcafee.com 'log on' and let me know what products it says you have. I'll send some mails tomorrow to investigate. By the way the support isn't in India yet, should be in Dublin.
