Problems with Internet explorer
When I load up a web site, everything loads up but for 10 secs (or so) I cannot do anything. Its like its frozen. Then its seems to be fine, until I click a link or something. When its frozen, if I click on something on the page, it will catch up on itself.
Its only the internet that is frozen, I can click on anything outside of IE (ie, the start bar, toolbar, etc)
Anyone know what this is? Or how to fix it?
They other weird thing is that if i type in a website in the address bar that is wrong, instead of getting a "page unavailable" display, I get a lycos search engine. Thought that I must have some sort of spyware on it but I've run Ad-aware and Spybot and they find nothing. I found a folder called "lycos" in windows explorer and deleted. But its still the same.
Its really annoying. Tried to install IE 6 but it tells me that a previous version is needing a restart and cannot install. Which if I reboot the machine makes no difference.

Sounds like you internet cache is full - or has a problem.
e.g has to empty space, before it can download new data.
Try going into c/panel - internet options - then delete all temporary files.
Restart machine - if it still does it - would probably be adware that is being blocked causing the delay.
