Canon i965 Photo Printer
What quality of print does the Canon i965 produce for black and white images?
Am thinking of getting one and I know the colour print standard is very high, but I'll want to print B&W images too.
Thanks.

If you want to print high quality black and white images you would really be better off buying a printer dedicated to producing B&W. Buy a i965 (or similar) and get something like the Lyson Quad or Hex blacks kit. This gives you ink cartridges of various shades of grey through black. With these you can get a very very good B&W output.
Of course, you can print B&W images using the six colour system, but you may need to fiddle about a little to get it just right.
I use a Canon i9100 and the B&W performance is very good. However it is no where near the tonal quality you can get with dedicated B&W inks.
