Default using the x-box with a pc monitor

Anyone advise on whats exactly needed as far as playing my x-box thru my computer monitor ?? was planning on going for a tv tuner card for my pc so as to use it for the x-box, but now not sure if this is exactly what I need ?? as from the picture / description off the pci tv tuner card, there does not appear to be a scart socket on this to accept the plug from the x-box !!

anyone advise further ?? would certainly be appreciatted !!

cheers,
john...

Probably something like this

Do a search on google for 'Xbox VGA cable' and there are even links to make your own

No idea as I don't have one, but in looking on the web at the places where you can make your own, looks like it needs some electronic wizardry to convert the signal properly rather than just being a case of wiring the right pin at one end to the right pin at the other. Shame it's a bit pricey (in my opinion), but then I'm tight

This is also an interesting link (and could possibly be a better buy?) http://www.tweaktown.com/ttg/ttgdocu...review&dId=455

Looking on the homepage here http://www.x2vga.com/ looks like it gets the best award from the official XBox magazine. Given the current US $ exchange rates, could work out about 30-40 quid. Haven't had a look on the web to see if anyone is selling them over here already. I'm sure a quick search on google for x2vga will turn some up for sale (or might be some on ebay).

Hello

I have a "box of tricks" that converts any video source to a monitor. I bought it a long time ago, for about $70.

Like this: http://www.starkelectronic.com/pi8010.htm

or some of these:
