I want to go to a store too. The San Francisco one is one of the most amazing buildings I've ever seen!!

I hope they are as adventurous in London.

Apparently it's a "flagship" store, so it should be on a par (size and design wise) with Ginza, SoHo etc.

For those not in the know, Apple's retail stores are basically Disneyland for us Mac geeks All the Apple products there to play with, lots of Mac software and accessories, a presentation theatre where they hold "Made On A Mac" training sessions given by people who use Macs in their everyday creative work and staff who know what they're on about!

I'll probably head down for the opening, here's hoping for opening night discounts and free t-shirts! Most opening nights in the US have had hardware discounts and a chance to win a Mac on the night.

See some of you there!

Hmm, wonder if they will give a developer discount on top of the opening night offers? I've been to a few of the smaller Apple stores over here, lovely places, staff are nice and helpful and seem to know their stuff, well, sometimes, had some chap professing to be the server expert, saying he knew all about apple's workgroup management software, it's capabilities, competitors, he said "no other software on the market can do what Workgroup manger can", Oh dear, poor chap

Being in a evil mood, I ripped him to shreds. Pointed out there is a competing product, that he really should know about, and that Apple SE's in the field tend to recommend it where direct integration with Non Apple servers is required, or machines exceede 250, as WGM is a little odd with that many machines.

I'm not usually that evil. but he was your typical pompus yank and I had to put him right!

Now, where's my MD, I seriously need a Dual 2GHZ G5, it's really limited my productivity not having one.
