Bios Password ??
Forgot the password to get into my BIOS. WIN 98
Can log onto PC ok just can't get into BIOS.
Anyone know if I can clear the password from within windows ?
Any other way of fixing the prob ??
My own fault, really cos I have been having a bit of a session changing all of my passwords...
Just need to write them down somewhere

very much doubt you can reset bios from 98, just do a google search for your motherboard for the jumper reset, or open it up & pull the battery of the board for a few hours

You need to open your PC - bridge the three pin male plug with a jumper switch - it will be the one nearest to the battery backup on the mainboard. Or use a flashbios program like KILLBIOS to totally wipe it.

If it is an HP motherboard open box flick dip switch 7 power on machine power off machine flick dip switch 7 back and power on machine again
