Question Help with Sharp GX-10i on Vodashat

My friend cannot get the GPRS working. When it dials it comes up with "GPRS not availabe.. Start CSD connection??".

Any ideas on how to get the GPRS working, manual was about as useful as my mom on a computer.

Has it ever worked....???

Lifted from whatmobile.net forums....

Anyone wanting to use normal wap might like these working settings

user name: wap
prompt Password: no
password: wap
Authentication: normal
homepage: http://wap:1999/vodafone.wml
Security: off
Session mode: permanent

Advanced Settings
Access Point: wap.vodafone.co.uk

Primary name server: 0.0.0.0
Secondary name server: 0.0.0.0

Proxy port: 8799

Tested on my 6600, accesses Voda Live menu and downloaded the "climber" theme. Works perfectly.

Untested MMS Settings (but from the same source as the above)

Check with vodafone that your SIM has been GPRS enabled.
