Anybody use Windows XP 'Offline Files'?
Only I've been suffering very slow build times of a large C++ Builder project and have now tracked it down to this. The project is shared amongst a few developers and stored on a central PC.
To put it in to perspective the build time on the mapped network drive, whether offline or connected is about 45 minutes Whereas I've just copied it to a local directory and it's done it in less than 5.
See when it's offline, the files are held locally, but it's no faster than if it weren't.
Can anything be done about this or am I better off forgetting 'Offline Files' and using a syncher?
Cheers.
