Oracle on NAS

Does anybody use Oracle 9i and hold the datafiles on a NAS (Network Attached Storage), We use a net Apps filer for this purpose and have had a few issues with the DB not being able to see the data files periodically and bearing in mind there are about six databases hosted on the NS, it loosing comms (Gigabit) is a major pain in the ****.

Not my decision to go this way being a humble DBA, I am interested if anybody is using it succesfully and not doing a restore ever 24 hours (it is quick using snapshots) or anybody who rejects the idea or is in the same boat !

Can help a huge amount (we are only running 8i at the moment and its not on NAS) but have you looked on metalink?

Darlodge, I spend a fair ammount of time on Metalink, thanks or should I say Tar !
