Hi All,
Got an XP Home PC, want to upgrade to W2K Professional. XP thinks differently and considers this a downgrade - it disables the setup.exe from the CD automatically because it detects an "older version of operating system"
B*stard MS! How do I get around this? The CD I have cannot be launched from DOS, so a W98 startup disk is no good.
Thanks, Richard

Boot off the W2k CD?
why do you want to go XP home to Win2k pro? Presumably you want to join the PC to a domain and happen to have a licence spare?
