I only got my xbox and PGR2 last night. Have done all tests on first cars (hot hatches I think) at plat apart from cones and speed camera.
How on earth do you get plat for the speed camera test? U need to hit 93mph - I can hit 92mph nearly every time but never 93. Am using the Focus RS with manual gears. No other car seems any faster.
Any hints you guys?
Cheers,
Simon.

Is that the one with the tight S bend - the tight left-right? (Havent played it for a while....I'm pretty sure I have platinum on that.....)
If it is, it took me absolutely bloody ages I used a ghost off Live to get the right line and just kept trying.
Basically, I think you just have to find the fastest line through the bends because if you hit the power exiting the final corner you will be too slow. IIRC you certainly have to be accelerating through the whole of the right hand part of the S bend, probably actually starting half way through the left hander.
Sorry, probably pretty obvious advice - but the ghost did help me get the line. I used an auto BTW.

You can do it on Auto, but it takes ages and it needs to be inch-perfect. My brother and I spent about an hour solid trying to get that one. You can get 93, but nothing more; takes a perfect run to get it.
Keep at it or try manual gears.

I did it with the Focus and an auto box. The trick is to not go into the bends too fast, and get a good run out of them (slow in, fast out), preferably without any wheel spin. Basically you need to get the perfect line.
If it's any consolation, I think that this was the hardest camera challenge in the whole game (did all the others on platinum on almost my first attempt ).

I did it with the Clio V6. Went into the S bend slow, positioning car in the right place and accelerated all the way through it, using all the kerbs. 96 mph.

Just done it - 93mph on the nose. Focus RS in Auto. The key is feathering the throttle just as it changes from 3rd to 4th gear.
Just done the next speed camera test in the boxster S and it took me 5 attempts to get the plat test at 106mph. Piece of p*ss in comparison.

So funny, I thought to myself "wonder if it's the Ford Focus one where you have to get 93mph"
Same as you, stuck on 92mph.

Enjoy the M3 cone challenge. Even a straight two laps of continuous cones will not give you enough Kudos !!! Took four days solid.

OK dont bother with evo and sti go straight for the Skyline.
I do most challenges at gold level straight off but a mate was saying that if you do a whole class in steel then you unlock another car? Then if you do it in bronze you unlock another, and so on. Am I missing out on all this doing everything in Gold without bothering with steel, bronze and silver???

yes you are
It takes much longer, but you get loads of practice @ each track...
I'm currently in the Enzo" doing Nurburgring etc, GOD this is difficult!! I'm scraping thru with Silvers
Oh well, more practice needed!!
At this rate, I'll be bringing the XBox into work!!!

No, the lower cars are unlocked as well as the one for the level you complete.

Well I am on the Roadster series now and have completed all previous series at at least silver in every event, yet I havent been given a new car as far as I can tell (other than the ones I have unlocked with kudos points). Will it just appear in my garage without telling me??
