I'm looking to set up a network at home and get my old laser parallet port printer set up as a network printer...so I'm looking for a parallel port print server.

Does anyone have one that they wanna sell off cheap?

Would it not be easier and cheaper to plug the printer into one of your machines and share it with the others

(Thats assuming you are running BillWare products)

But if you had a print server you'd need to keep that switched on at all times so why not just connect to yours and keep that on?

If you don't want to do that then just go to a computer fair or look in the paper and buy an old Pentium 1 pc.

You don't need anything special for a print server. (You certainly don't need a server )

go onto ebay and get yourself an old Laserjet with JetDirect card built in. You can buy for peanuts and very easy to configure.
I did this with an HP4M.
