I have just inhereted a second hand HP laserjet 6L printer - the only problem is there is always a faint vertical line right down the centre of the page - is it FUBAR'ed or does it just need a new toner?

cheers,

mike.

I have a 6L

The toner / developer cartridge is all in 1, so I'd go for a new one. I'd also buy the real mccoy, and not an aftermarket one (they're not sufficiently cheap enough to justify imho)

Seconded you can repair these yourself it's normally the teflon roller that's got a scratch in it that need replacing
