Anyone tried bit torrent yet? Ive just been giving it a try but cannot download anything because of silly errors constantly popping up ,just before downloading stuff. Anyone else had this problem? I do have a firewall on the system, could this be the problem?

Thanks for any help.

Ignore the 'red' error messages, just minimise it for a bit and it will usually find the seed, that is providing there are seeds. BT works very differently from other P2P software, its not good for those wishing to DL in a hurry. It also takes its time to build up to speed as more and more seeds are contacted. if you have a firewall or router you will need to open ports 6881 to 6889.

edited to say, what client are you using btw?

I use Shareaza for BitTorrent links - as it seems to work better than the official BitTorrent client itself.
