Thats great thanks guys. I have a virus (i think) on my PC that after about 2 mins connected to internet I get a wierd message & my PC re-starts itself (after a 60 sec countdown)
Is there anything I can do to stop the PC re-starting after 2 mins on-line ?
Its a pain becuase it doesn't allow me to download anything in time !

Ahh, you've got Blaster or similar then.

Stinger will fit onto a floppy disk so you can download it from another PC.

What version of Windows are you running? You need to patch it via WindowsUpdate to stop this happening again.

Sounds like it could be MSBlast(Lovesan).

Follow the instructions here:

http://www.labmice.net/AntiVirus/articles/MSblast.htm

If you can stay online long enough that is......

Oh and maybe think about getting a decent software firewall too whilst you are at it?

Roger
