Question

I’m currently in Monaco in a hotel that’s charging the extortionate amount of £20 per hour for piffling 56k internet access.

To charge this amount for such a low grade service is in my opinion legal robbery, but I suppose it’s there if you want it, if you don’t, don’t use it…

I need access to the internet, but obviously don’t want to be charged £20 per hour, and so, I’d like to know if anybody knows of a free, or low charge, French dial-up ISP’s?

Also, if I use my wireless card I also have access to Monaco Telecom Wi-Fi but would need to ‘borrow’ a username and password for the next couple of days.
Does anybody know of someone who subscribes to this service?

Any advice would be gratefully appreciated!

Thumbs up

Thanks for the replies!

Just trying to search online for a free ISP was costing a bomb so I decided just to not use the connection instead.

Currently in a cracking hotel in Nice and am getting free high speed internet access

Trumbles idea sounds prefect if you know what your doing.....lol
I'm willing to bet £100 its not secure.
Kismet is your friend
Consider Airopeek, from WildPackets for Winblows.

On another note, would it cost £20 an hour to dial into a UK ISP??
Surley the phone rates aren't that high!

There was a wi-fi network, not wep encrypted (confirmed by kismac), but you needed a username and password - neither of which I could guess!
