XIII online - no live code??

I bought XIII for the xbox the other day, thinking I may as well try it out online.
But I don't have a subscription code? It makes no sense! I want to play online, I don't mind paying the msoft fee to use live, but I need a code! Can't even sign up on the xbox website!
Can anyone help with a solution?

Think you need to buy this ( good old Microsoft ) or get a game that has a 2month live trial...
