Yup, I know I should have kept the manual...

but does anyone know if my bog standard xbox plays multi region, or just Region 2 DVDs (I've got the playback kit)?

Many thanks

Steve

What does'nt the remote do when it's been chipped as a mate said it's pointless having one but i find mine great for controlling xbox for XBMP/XBMC and region free dvd.

something to do with the region hack makes the remote useless and you have to use the control pad i bought the dvd pack and as soon as it was modded had to put in my drawer as they are to cheap to sell

Steve,

You can use the remote with regionx but you need version 1, if you use the latest version then you have to use the xbox controller
