Without Live, when is the ring unlocked?

Also anyone using a wheel with PG2? I am looking for an excuse to buy muself a prezzie

I have CM2 on PC with a wheel and CM3 on XBox with the normal controller and the XBox version sucks big time... with the wheel you really place the car and sqeeze the throttle pedal as much as you dare, but you just can't get that level of control with an Xbox contoller. Does an Xbox wheel give this extra level of involvement?

Just a thought, could a PC wheel be interfaced with an Xbox?
