Media Play V9 Runs slow when mouse is taken off Video pane
#1
I have a very odd problem with media player.
It works Fine playing music and videos, via hard disc or streaming media....BUT
Whenever I move the mouse off the Video / visulisation pane, it all goes very slow and jerky, plus the controls become unresponsive too. Move the mouse back on the pane again..it works fine!!
It also happens in Full screen mode too, where if you don't touch the mouse - it disappears after 3 seconds and the whole thing slows down, move the mouse, it speeds it! Weird!
It used to work OK before. Running with Win2000 Pro, and nothing has been changed (I think). Already tried Annoynaces.org and it's the current version (well, that what it says anyway) of media player.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Right then...SORTED!!
The problem is probably still there but I decided to ditch the crappy graphics card and plonk in my trusty old Maxi Gamer Phoenix crad with integrated Voodoo Banshee chip
There is no win2K support for it, but oddly it seems to work fine! (didn't even need to use non-official freeware drivers.
Well, Media player is now silky smooth. But I'm yet to try out Max Payne - so I could still be in for some problems

Ta,
I've had a plan: (for when I'm bored) re-format my 2nd hard disc back to FAT and stick on win 98SE. And pick the OS depending on which hard disc I boot from
I can then play all my old games and dig out the force feedback steering wheel, then have a good blast in Driver and GP legends
Crikey...this all just started out with me trying to get media player working right
