How do I get Word, Excel etc to stay on the PC after upgrade?

bit of a vague question. When you upgrade all stays the same. except obviously the OS.

If you upgrade all existing software should still be available. If you reformat then obviously different matter.

Don't think you can upgrade win 2K to XP mate, will have to do a fresh install of XP on the machine. Can't you use the disks that you first used to install Office on to the 2K system?

You CANNOT upgrade Win2K to XP Home. Howevery You can upgrade Win2K to XP Professional.
