Yeah my mate works for a university, so he can borrow any kit he likes, he had a data projector for presentations and the like hooked up to his laptop docking station, with 5.1 surround speakers, against a massive white wall, we watched twin towers before it had come out in cinema. Very nice..

But by the time you've shelled out for all that lot, you could have a real one

They're very comfy too. They had the top one (I think, it looks very similar) in the Playstation tent at Reading festival for WRC2.

Yeah they are pricey, but they seem to be first to market, and it's not exactly something that is going to go into mass production, so they're bound to charge alot to foolish gadget freaks like me, who would even contemplate buying one lol.

£700 odd is very steep even though it is leather, and has heigh, lumber adjustments etc, but around £200 is that bad really, to replace the bog stadard car seats in my mums bottom of the range clio was £800 each darn it.

Burr, you obviously haven't used the wheel in the picture (Logitech Driving Force) which does actually have Force Feedback, not just 'wobble' like many other wheels. However, for the best wheel on the market see this one which is the official wheel for Gran Turismo 4 and is much better looking and much better built than the one above, with realistic 900 degree rotation etc etc.

Agreed....not a bad idea actually.

Not sure on the price of the wheel, but assuming £100, you could build the full thing for under £200

The wheel and pedals in the picture above only cost £45.00 in total. The new on on my link costs more like £95.00, but is much better.

Yes I think it is PS2 only at the moment, but maybe a similar wheel will come out for X-BOX or PC. That's what happened with the Logitech Formula Force GP which was marketed for PC but in fact was very similar to the Driving Force in the picture above and pretty much identical to the official GT Force wheel marketed for GT3.
