Got bt broadband in work I want to share it with two othe pc's in the office is this possible?

Spoke to a guy in Pc world who said no, than changed to well you can but it will be slow I lost what little confidence I had in Pc world there and then.

I thought it would be a simple a case of getting a router and some network cards.

Help very much appreciated.

just get a ADSL modem/router/4-port switch for £39.99 at ebuyer.co.uk.

so just connect up your ADSL line and PCs into the ADSL modem, set the PCs up as DHCP and that should be it

Hello

Yes it's possible, and as mentioned above very easy.

The only problem is that if someone on the network is downloading all day, the other users will get slow response times. There are ways are allocating bandwidth, but the set up is quite complex. Well, I always thought it was, unless anyone knows different?

I was standing outside my office one day smoking when a PO van pulled up and two postmen got out talking about switching their home LANs. Next time, ask a postman, they seem reasonably clued up in basic networking
