.. now having had nvidia's since I was in nappies - can someone tell me which driver(s) I should use (latest etc)..

I would go for the Cat 3.8 & if you play CoD then get the hotfix.
The new Cat 3.10 are out next week
I was a long time nvidia fan but you just cannot beat the IQ & speed of the Radeon

Make sure you wipe every last bit of the Nvidia stuff off your PC though!

Sure thing, I'm gonna remove all nvidia software via add-remove progs/control panel, and then uninstall drivers via device manager if they are still there..

I suggest you use Driver Cleaner 2 to clean your system. Download it from here

I would also get the Omega drivers in place of the ATi ones, they fixed all my 3.9 issues. Drivers that work
