Question

Anyone recommend any good hubs with lots of high bandwidth? Feel the need to test out my new 1Mb cable connection

Mail me offline if the mods will complain

Hello

I would recommend using Bit Torrent to max out your bandwidth.

Hello

Bit Torrent is a piece of software you install. Have a search on the internet. Or mail me.

Talking

I realise that; I'm not a complete Muppet you know

I found some different Bit Torrent clients here and just wondered if (like DC++) some are better than others.

Hello

Sorry! I've always used the official one, and get downloads of 50kb/s from my 512k ADSL line. So I haven't looked elsewhere, I didn't know there were other clients!

Cool I'll give that a try before experimenting with any others. I might be in touch for some help.

Cheers,

If you want to max out your connection then don't even bother with Bit Torrents or peer-to-peer software like Direct Connect etc.

Sign up to a Newsgroup Server such as UseNetServer and get yourself a client such as GrabIt and download as much as you want from the binary newsgroups!!

I have a 1MB connection and am constantly downloading at 120Kbps 24 hours a day

Worth the £9 a month newsgroup subscription fee.
