Well bit the bullet this weekend and spent the £29.99 for the Ethernet adaptor for the PS2..
Must say I am pleasantly surpised at the speed and witnessed no lag during an online session of Tony Hawk Underground...
Now all I got todo is wait for GranTurismo4.. then the fun can really start..

Where did you hear that? The only reason I bought the adpater (as soon as it came out) was for GT4 which has always been advertised as supporting on line play once released.
It bloody better support on line play or that will be a major failure by Sony. If they don't do it it will be XBox time for me and PGR2 as online racing is the only real proper challenge!

Heard it in some mag a while back, but lets hope it is online.
Whos up for the first Scoobynet GT4 championship
You can only race 6 per race again though.

GT4 is Sony's online banker.
No broadband function with GT4 and they might as well stop the online service now... Most people I know with PS2's mention GT4 and broadband in the same sentence.
The games creator has said that it will have online capabilities and that some cars will only be available by winning online races.
