I have an ADSL line with BT and I use a USB modem. I was wondering if there are ethernet modems available for ADSL lines.

I use this one atm. Very easy to use and setup, it also has content filtering and 4 ports. There are much better routers, especially if you need to use port forwarding a lot but this is pretty good for light SOHO use.

I also used to have a USB modem (Alcatel)
Because I could not get it to work with Linux I bought a new one.
Its a Netgear DG824M currently not a bad price from e-buyer.
You get a four point hub, Wireless potential (128 bit encrypted), and its also a hardware firewall.
Whilst I know a thing or two about PC hardware I'm a complete novice when it comes to networks. Yet I had it up and running in 20 minutes with both my windows and Linux installations.
It comes with one cable but you need to get your own network card (unless there's one built into your mobo) - about a tenner.
If I can do it anyone can!
Cheers!
Edited because I forget to mention it plugs straight into your phone line just like your current USB one probably does.
