Windows 96

We used to have a couple of PC's at work that used to say windows 96 when you started them up. I think it was a patch which changed the startup screen.
But it was just windows 95.

I replaced the windows 98 splash screen on my mates laptop with a rude picture he took it to an informal meeting (no bosses) the next day not knowing and went to make a coffee whilist the laptop was booting. He got back and everyone was laughing. He only found out the next time he turned it off and on

With the new management tools on our WindowsXP network, it isn't totally unknown for people's desktop wallpaper to mysteriously change overnight. Well, so I'm told.

Just after Man Utd got beat by West Ham, I had a guy at work's wallpaper change from the Man U logo to the West Ham one every 2mins with a VB prog. Every time he changed it it'd change itself back. So funny watching him try to figure out what was going on.
