identification of RAM type

I want to upgrade the RAM on my PC at home, the machine is about 18 months old, Intel celeron 1.1GHz.

How do i identify the type of RAM and it's speed?

Go to www.crucial.co.uk and there u can tell it what motherboard u r using. It will then tell you what memory u can have in it.

If you still can't work it out. Try CPU-Z. That should give you the info you need.

If it's a Celery 1.1GHz, it's gonna be based on the Coppermine architecture. i.e. a 100MHz fsb. My money's on your RAM being PC100 or PC133 168-pin chips.

Or you could just look at whats written on the side of it.
