I bought some Corsair Memory off overclockers.
3200LLPT it says on the side of the matched 512MB sticks!
and the timings should be (also according to the label)

2-3-2-6-T1

I've looked at the BOIS settings and they're set / I have the option to set :-

SDRAM Active Pre Charge Delay - 6 (choices of 1-15)
SDRAM RAS To CAS Delay - 3 (choices of 1-7)
SDRAM RAS Pre Charge Delay - 2 (choices of 1-7)
SDRAM CAS Latency - 2T (choices of Auto, 2T, 2.5T, 3T)

Can someone explain what hell I'm looking at.
cos it's not making sense

This has all come about from me looking into getting another 512MB stick and wondering which sticks I already had in there
Not wanting to lose the dual channel functionality you see

Then to confuse me further Overclockers has this by the side of the stick I think is the same type

Corsair 512MB DDR XMS3200LLPT Low Latency Platinum CAS2 (MY-014-CS)
Corsair XMS3200LL Low Latency uses exactly the same memory chips as Corsair XMS3500 with a special SPD - pre-set to aggressive memory timings of CAS2-2-2-5-1T - for those who'd rather not experiment with BIOS settings.b]

edit :Oops few typo's

Andy

Their product sheet is fairly useless, so try this instead.

Cheers, it would seem they are set correctly. Phew !

now the question would be, would putting in another 512MB stick that is the same type / grade etc, screw up any pairing that was done with the other two.

Which slots would you recommend putting each of the sticks in.
at the mo the paired sticks are in slots 1 and 3.
would these need to be reconfigured or do I just lob the single stick in slot 2.

I'm concerned that the product in bold on the post above might have a fit trying to run at the timings I've set for the dual pair !

yes that misearable bint does go on a bit...
I had to gag her in the end....

Still runs fine though !!!!

I usually get a memory fail if I "restart"
Yet if I "shut down" and then start after a short "off" period it passes every time.

still worried about the difference in timings though ?
