got a few laptop std hdd's (40 gig)

is there a caddy that these can go into and made into portable storage,

i think it can be done with conventional hdd's , but was wondering if it can be done with the small laptop one's.

You can get small USB/Firewire boxes that take them.
I have a USB 2.0 that I have kitted out with a 20Gb Drive.

have a look at www.pcnextday.co.uk. you can get them for about £20 well worth it if you got spare 2.5inch HDD. works a treat with XP coz you dont need any drivers. really just plug and play and it's usb 2.0 as well!
