This may sound silly but i am a beginner on the photoshop. How do you cut out an object as when i do it with the magnetic lasoo tool it just finds the easiest way it wants to go and misses some of the car out. I don't want to do it by hand as it will take ages.
Please help.

Jamie

Wink

If you click the mouse you will force additional selection points.

Also once you have donbe the selection you can add to it - there should be toolbar icons that allow you to add or subtract as well as start a new selection.

I usually go magnetiv first then zoom in & tidy up using manual lasso.

Rather than the manual I'd recommend the "WOW!" books for learning Photoshop.

Use the path tool.... although I guess thats what you mean by not wanting to do it doing it manually. A car wont take long to cut out once you get going.... nice smooth curves too.
