Keep on getting annoying pop up which says in a little box,

P2P networking
Cant find server.

What is it for and how can I stop it from popping up.

Give us a clue what you've installed on your machine p2p wise. If you haven't installed it, get ad-aware from lavasoft and take your machine off the net until you're sure what's going on...

Not really up on these things. Got kazaa whick ive just disabled the desktop. Put in pop up stopper as well.

ZoneAlram Pro latest version will also stop pop ups as well as being S/W firewall...

Disconnect from the Net, just in case this pop up is doing something it shouldn't, like transmitting your data somewhere....

If you hadn't installed P2P, then something had hence your PC is not under your control... That's why taking off the network would have been a good idea.

Don't use the original Kazaa, in my opinion it's spyware and adware.
