I have not got a clue what is going on here !!

My moniter has started to make a realy high pitched wineing noise

But it only does it when I have got IE open full screen.
If I minimise or close it it goes away !!

You would not belive how annoying it is
The dogs are going mental at the noise

Help

High pitched sounds from your monitor usually occur because of an incorrect refresh rate- however I cannot explain why it would only do it when you open up IE.

Thumbs up

On a serious note:

Have u got a spare monitor that u can test? ie ur monitor?

Does it happen when u use other app's, ie Word, Excel?

All devices OK in the Device Manager?

Change the refresh rate?

Just a few things to try.

Yes, lowered the refresh rate to 75Hz was 85Hz and it stops
They are the standard refresh rates I have not tried to mess around with them.

Also noticed that it also goes depending on the colour of the website ??
Takes about 1 - 2 hours to start buzzing

I take it you are using a CRT monitor not an LCD flat screen. If so it could be that the tube is on it's way out. That's why it is different for different colours (3 guns in the tube - red, gren & blue), so depending to what extent each gun is being used the noise will alter.

Found on my last monitor that the more white that was on screen, the more noisy it was one high refresh rates.

Cheers
