Im not sure how long ive bin having this prob ... a week i guess ... it just wont log into msn ... occaisionally im sucessful. Cant log into hotmail to view mail either or neother hotmail site ..eg help site. Also having probs acessing some websites ... seems to b all from one datacenter ... i can ping these sites but it wont connect ... i have no virus' and have spoken to ntl who r saying its msn that has the prob and didnt really offer ne help on the other sites cus i wasnt sure what i was talking about. (sites in question my brother uses to host from so he helped to acsertain it was the whole datacenter that i couldnt acess in London). oh and now another site has bin added to the list of unacessable ... thats hosted in Holland.

well after complaing to neone who'd listen and a few who didnt want to listen ... it magically fixed itself last nite.

I heard that NTL have recently closed port 135 due to the latest viruses going around

MSN 6 uses port 135

If you look at the fault log it is there as still being unresolved.

My NTL has never been able to display autotraders website.

And this past week Hotmail has gone as well.

Msn doesn't use incoming port 135

I use Trillian for my IM stuff, icq and msn have been working fine for me. Autotrader and Hotmail also have been working fine on NTL for me

NTL haven't blocked 135 yet as my firewall logs are still huge, and if they did their network would grind to a halt with the extra router processing....

Hmmm Hotmail works again after my post.

I guess the advanced scoobynet software fixed it.
