Cisco 800 problem

Hi all
Have a Cisco 800 at work, lights are on, all cables are ok but I cant hyper terminal in for toffee! Have checked the settings for hyperterminal on the Cisco website but still no joy??
Any ideas anyone???

On the 775M you defo. need the Cisco Blue Console cable. Well, I say defo, using a bogo serial cable doesn't work.
I'm assuming you can't telnet in to it over the Ethernet if the above fails ?

have you rebooted it ? I had a supervisor module on a cat4000 that looked perfect until it was booted - then it failed completely.

When you power the 800 up, do all the lights come on and then go off? If they all stay on it could be a problem. If they go off and the 'OK' light starts flashing then it sounds like it's booting normally. Check your console cable as well as your Hyperterminal settings (COM Port and Speed Settings).
