Question

Can anyone tell me how long a Cisco router is warranted for?

We have a Cisco 2610 and I've no idea where it was bought from our exactly how long ago. All I know is it was here when I started 2yrs ago

The Cisco website suggest it's 5yrs, but it also mentions a limited lifetime warranty. Also, is it honoured by Cisco or do you need to go through their channel partners?

Does this link this work? You might need a CCO login.

I'm not sure about the 5 yr warranty 'cos Cisco usually only give 1 year and expect you to pay for an extension. If you do have a 5 year warranty the best thing is to speak to the original supplier and they should sort out an RMA number for you. If not drop me a line and i will have a word with our Cisco rep to find out the best course of action.

Like I say, I've no idea how it got here or how long ago. It was here when I started and no-one I've asked has a clue.

I suppose the only thing I can do is ask our Accountant for an invoice. Don't fancy the response I'll get since the original invoice is probably with our company accountants.

Cisco warranty is one 12 months for the majority of products. If it's outside of this then your should be able to get it repaired but it will cost you.
