Question

My copy of Netscape 7.0 has changed the size of the 'Bookmarks' drop-down 'on the fly'. Originally a perfectly decent column width, the subsidiary drop-downs had room to open. All of a sudden the main drop-down is 85% of the screen width, with no room to see other than a couple of characters on the subsidiaries. Anyone know how to switch it back??

(I use 800x600 default and, although I occasionally have to scroll round the browser window, the Bookmarks used to work perfectly happily with it).

TIA

Phil,

Netscape 7.1 is out, so you might like to try upgrading on the off chance that it fixes the problem - worth a try I guess.

Failing that, have you checked the page zoom setting? I wonder if changing that might screw some of the dialogs up.

Solution:

1: Un-install Netscape
2: Install Internet Explorer

Only joking, I am guessing that you may have recently added a favourite with a name that has a large number of trailing spaces - this is what may be causing the list to fill the screen?
