Have a PS2 with a few UK games and all is well....

On return from Thailand I brought 5 games for little more than a few quid.. PS2 doesn't play them... Will be going again in Oct so wouldn't mind picking up some more...

Can I get the PS2 chipped some in Berkshire ?

I've just received a Messiah2 chip from www.playstationmods.co.uk and I'm going to install it myself. The same company offers a mail order chip install service.

p.s. we bought loads in Chaing Mai as well - what games did you bring back

Kevin.

Just to add.... going to Bangkok, Chang Mai and Phucket.

Seemed games were between £2 - £3? Was this what you found?

The games you are bringing back will be taken off you if customs find them.
They are 'asian silvers', good quality pirated disks.

The equivalent can probably be had down your local market for a couple of quid each.

Wannabe, I'm in Bracknell, but could travel up as its not too far... Does it take minutes to do ?

If not I'll just go shopping for a few hours. let me know?

ScoobyDoBlue - That may be the offical line, i'm not sure. But when I came back last time (November) I went through customs and they asked what I had in the cases... I replied less than £155 worth and split:

PS2 games x 5
Music CDs x 10
DVDs x 32
Suit Wallets&Bags x 3
Assorted clothes

He then said is it for personal use, to which I replied yes.. He motioned me through.

I know they are clamping down on fakes, but I beleive there are some rules which means they cannot take away certain items that are for personal use.

Does someone (from customs) in the know want to clarify ..
