I am looking to change from dial up to Broadband. Can anyone suggest packages that they are aware of. BT have an offer on until tonight but i don't know if the service is any good.

Any advice gratefully received.

Thanks
Shaun

BT and NTL Cable are both great, UNTIL they go wrong and you try to speak to them to get it fixed.

I've had NTL cable for a couple of years now, gone wrong a couple of times. I picked NTL purely because they had the coverage in my area, no one else did.

Best of luck!

PS Once you got it, you'll think why did I not get it sooner!

I'm with Virgin.net at the moment. Seems the easiest option is to go for their broadband package -

£50 for the modem
Free activation
£24.99 per month.

I suppose you pays your money and takes your chances.

Thanks for the replies

Summary of pipex costs...

USB Modem (if u need one) - 15 quid, including 2 micro filters
Monthly - 19.99 + VAT

No activation fee (50 quid + VAT) or anything else to pay.

Given that other places were charging 50-60 quid for the same modem, you can easily save 100 quid outlay with pipex

Pipex deals are currently the best that I have seen.

£17 something includes, 1 modem, 2 microfilters, and activiation.

Usualy this wuld be about £80!!

I went with Pipex about a month ago. Brilliant service and 24/7 help lines. Look in the speed charts on adsl guide they are always in the top three
