Printed data converted to spreadsheet?
#1
Anyone know about OCR or data entry?
I would like to get vehicle data such as Top Gear magazine 'New car data' section in a spreadsheet format. I have asked them and they will not sell me a copy.
It struck me that I could spend eons driving myself mad & type it all in
Or I could get a specialist to do it for me...
Or maybe OCR has come along far enough to get sufficient recognition to make a reasonable effort ?????
Anybody know about this stuff...
Thanks
Mick

is the data copyrighted by topgear??
why not get manufacturers to send you the data directly
- you dont have a dog and bark yourself...
tell them why you want it etc, and in what format.
