Question

As stated really. At the moment we have LJ4500 Colour Lasers, they are the most unreliable printers HP have put out in ages.

I would like to get them changed and have wondered about the 4600 series.

Also any comments on the Xerox Phaser Colour printers? 6200 and 8200.

Cheers.

do you mean it is mechanically unreliable or to do with software?

Have you had a look at the Minolta QMS Colour Printer range? Faster, better quality & cheaper to buy and run than the HP series.

steer clear of Xerox phasers, i have one here and the repair bill costs more than a new HP2500 (which i just bought instead)

Thanks for the comments chaps.

Midget1500 - The 4500 has been mechanically very unreliable. Only 2 of the one's that are installed have not been replaced at least once. Three of them have been replaced 3 or more times.

Beemerboy - That backs up what another person has told me.

Tony - Hadn't looked at QMS. Will have a scan through.

Cheers.

Our 4500 sucks, it leaks toner everywhere.....

We also have the 8550's and the new 5500's, must say I do like the 5500's

Yup got a 4600 and so far no problems but it is only a couple of months old.

Colour printouts come out quickly and accurately.
