MSBLAST - PC WORLD - ROFL
#1
I couldn't help but laugh yesterday when i visited PC world to get a cable that I desperately needed. I wouldn't normally dare go to a place like this but I was desperate!!
Anyway - seems they're cashing in on the last Msblast virus like anything. Sign in the fron window informing customers about it then going on to say that they can help remove it. Purchase a copy of Norton Antivirus from them £39.99 - then pay them to install it £10 then pay them to remove it £19.99.
I couldn't believe it and made me think if i'm in the wrong job.......
It makes me sick they can get away with it.

....and undoubtedly a lot of people queuing up for them to do it too.
I know of at least 3 people who phoned PC World for "advice" after being infected with this worm. One of them only bought their Packard Bell PC from them a week earlier and was told that the Anti-virus software supplied with the PC (Norton) was "not strong to cope with this worm", and they should "upgrade to something better".
