Just wanted to compare this new puter with some of you other Sn members.
Here's a benchmark from Prime95 (version 22)
If you've not got it.."Download here"
Also a benchmark from 3DMark03 (version 320)
Being as this is such a huge download for 56k users (that's me ) 177MB I'll put this pic up once the program has finished downloading..
Finally the 3D03 score, again downloaded and ran, hot pc, no other adjustments
Oh and one from from 3DMark01(version 330) as this incorporates some CPU useage rather than purely graphics orientated as 3D03.
PC been running for about 40 odd hours, no settings within 3d01 changed, just installed and ran....

Ok so I'll stick mine up for good measure
3dMark 2003 : 6956 but this hasnt been run since I finshed putting system togerther
http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k3=1157219
3dMark 2001 : 22496 again not run since finished system building but not 2 far off
http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k1=6739393
The prime takes about 55 seconds but thats on backed off settings.....
Oh well, Nick will probabaly go higher, but I'm not bothered as my aim was quiet not fast, just ended up being a "fairly" quick system.
Steve
Updated 2003 Mark as I hadnt run it for a while..............

P4 3.0G 800FSB running at 3.8 at the moment, will probabaly clear 4G if I can be arsed to mess about
1GB of Corsair 3500XMS in 2 x 512MB sticks
9800Pro 128MB running at 470, 365
2 x SATA 80GB disk raid 0
2 x PATA drives of 60 & 80 GB
Pansonic DVD Reader

Oh and processor cooled by Vapochill PE, Norhtbridge and GFX by Waterchill system. Makes it a very nice quiet system, will go higher if I can be bothered.....and nick will vouch for the mess in my case

Ahh, It's about time this thread took off
Hopefully we'll all get some sound advise of where the gains are to be made, that's what I was hoping for anyway,
I was certainly expecting to get beaten by huge margins and it goes to show that people on here do know what they are on about..
This new rig is just the start
and that there benchmark is now up for reference purposes
Once the car is done I hope to gain some useful info as where to best spend ££ that will be burning a hole in my pocket
Keep it up peeps
Andy
