Hello
KazzaLite is okay, although full of muppets these days. So you download something that isn't what it alludes to be.
I find Direct Connect or Bit Torrent much better.
Steve.

KaZaA is a clever program and a great idea. The hacked 'lite' version does save you from the spyware that was part of the original program. Do not be fooled into thinking that these programs are harmless and prevent no risk to your PC or network. If you intend to use it at work, check your usage policy as many places now (rightly) ban P2P programs.
Make sure you have a decent firewall in place - preferably one that has some form of intrusion detection (such as Sygate Personal Firewall Pro) - learn to use it. Be cautious of any program that can potentially open up your PC.
Do a search on 'rogue protocols' to see what I mean. OK - I am putting my IT security hat on here (which does make you slightly paranoid), but we do have documented cases at work, of the damage caused as a direct result of using KaZaA (and similar programs).
I'm not going to suggest that you do or don't use the program (that's your choice (my choice is not to)), but please be aware of what you are running and how to protect yourself. Ignorance is the cause of the majority of problems (especially where IT is concerned).
