Question

Hi Chaps,

One of our offices seems reluctant to follow instructions about deleting unwanted messages and attachemnts in Outlook Express. This is causing huge problems in that their mailboxes are using up all the space on the server (one mailbox is over 1.5 GB!)

Since they seem unable to do it themselves, is there a util that can scan the .mbx/.idx files and delete the attachments from them? I've looked but not had any look so far.

AutoArchive. Not sure if it's in OE though.

There's not Archive function on OE. It's not really what we need though. We "just" want to have a program that will scan a MBX file and delete any attachments it finds within it. Ideally this would be run from the server the mailboxes are stored on.

Any ideas...?
