When booting up my win2k machine I recieve the following error message
The error message:
"---------------------------
Limited Virtual Memory
---------------------------
Your system has no paging file, or the paging file is too small.
1. Right-click My Computer, click Properties, and then click the Advanced tab.
2. Click on the Performance Options button, and then click on the Change button.
Under Drive [Volume Label], select the drive you want.
3. To create a new paging file, click the Initial Size (MB) box, and then type a
paging file size.
-Or-
To increase the paging file size, click the Maximum Size (MB) box, and then type
a larger paging file size. When you have finished, click Set, and then click OK.
---------------------------
OK
I change the pagefile file size and it does not make any difference.
I have got 256mb of RAM.
I have set the values to zero and then changed them back witch works until you re start my machine for the second time and then it goes back to the default of 20mb
Any ideas?
Cheers Dave

Are you saying you have tried set them to something like they
should be, starting at 267, to around 400 (actually those are more like the NT settings, but will work ok with 2000.)

We had something like this a while back on our W2K servers, try this article from microsfot, it does eventually work, it did for us.
