I bought a DVD writer from Novatech in february and have had newt but problems with it lately. What are they like for accepting faulty goods back? Quick turn around etc?

I bought a printer with a scanner built-in. The scanner bit didn't work with my PC. They refused to take it back as the said it wasn't faulty (true but I still had a useless scanner).
I've not used them since which is a few thousand pounds lost business for them over a £30 scanner.
If you have a genuine faulty item, they must take it back for repair or replacement.

You may be better going through the warranty support at the manufacturer 'cos i've heard Novatech can take forever.

Most placed will quite rightly insist on it coming back for testing before repairing replacing it.
Most of the stuff we get back is not faulty , quite often latest drivers have not been installed or OS not re-installed.
If you do have a real issue try the manufactuerer.
I think legally it has to be reapired within 3 months !
We have an issue for one of our customers with a large French hard drive manufaftuerer and the uit in question has been repalced 3 times and now they can neither replace or repair as they don't hvae parts. Thats just crap !

I've never had any problems returning faulty goods to Novatech - unlike certain other retailers I could mention :!

No probs with Novatech. Once I bought some memory (back when it cost lots) and then saw online that they'd got some PC100 memory for far less money. Thought that would probably work ok, so rang them up, took back slow memory, and walked out with faster memory plus about 90 quid refund. Nothing wrong with old memory at all, I just wanted to spend less...
PC World, on the other hand... once I pledged NEVER to go there again. And I've stuck to it all these years. Religiously.
